    Earnings season can cause a lot of movement in the markets, as stocks can swing in either direction in response to the reports. If a stock beats expectations, it will usually see a large price jump. If it falls short, its price could plummet.
    With that in mind, we created a list of stocks that meet the following criteria:
    Earnings to be announced between May 21 and May 25 Dividend yield between 1% and 7% Payout ratio positive, but less than 50% (a responsible dividend payout) Business section: investing ideasWe chose to search for dividend stocks because the price swings could provide great opportunities to lock in a better dividend yield.     1. Analog Devices (NYSE: ADI) designs, manufactures, and markets analog, mixed-signal, and digital-signal processing integrated circuits used in industrial, communication, computer, and consumer applications.     2. Eaton Vance creates, markets, and manages investment funds in the U.S. Its market cap is $2.77 billion, with a most recent closing price of $24.85. Its dividend yield is 3.08%, with a payout ratio of 39.32%. Earnings are to be announced on May 23.
    3. Guess' Inc. (NYSE: GES) designs, markets, distributes, and licenses apparel and accessories for men, women, and children. Its market cap is $2.34 billion, with a most recent closing price of $26.25. Its dividend yield is 3.08%, with a payout ratio of 28.15%. Earnings are to be announced on May 21.
    4. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store operates and develops the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store restaurant and retail concept in the U.S. Its market cap is $1.31 billion, with a most recent closing price of $57.41. Its dividend yield is 1.7%, with a payout ratio of 27.08%. Earnings are to be announced on May 22.

    7. Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) offers various products, technologies, software, solutions, and services to individual consumers and small- and medium-sized businesses, as well as to the government, health, and education sectors worldwide.
