My personal portfolio is today weighted about 60/40 between US and Foreign real estate. I believe that in the long run this will allow me to earn superior risk-adjusted returns, and we suggest that every real estate investor includes at least a 20% allocation to foreign properties as part of their portfolio strategy
Every market ticks differently, and especially today with high fears over growing interest rates in the US market, it makes sense to add foreign exposure to your real estate portfolio to mitigate risks.
